Position: Legal Secretary
Contract: Full Time
Salary: £20,000.00 – £24,000.00 per annum (depending on experience)
Working hours: 9.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. Monday to Friday (one hour lunch break)
Department: Trusts and Estates
The role requires you to provide secretarial assistance to fee earners, to enable them to work efficiently. Legal secretarial experience is an advantage, but not essential.
This includes a wide range of tasks:-
· preparing documents and correspondence, including preparing mail and enclosures
· opening and closing matter files
· handling telephone and other queries from clients and others
· taking telephone messages
· making appointments and managing diaries.
Covering for others when they are unavailable.
Providing guidance to new, inexperienced or temporary members of staff as necessary.
Contributing to the other activities of the firm as may be required from time to time.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, good communication and telephone manner and the ability to prioritise under pressure.
