We have experience in a range of difficulties which can arise following the death of a family member or someone close, including:
- Claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975;
- The validity of a will and the capacity of the testator;
- Disputes between trustees and executors;
- Disputes before the Court of Protection.
Example of our experience: Inheritance Act Disputes
We received instructions to act for an adult whose mother had passed away leaving her entire estate to our client’s sibling and nothing to our client. With the backdrop of a possible claim under the 1975 Act, we were able to negotiate a fair adjustment of the estate in our client’s favour.
